Jan 10, 2016. #1. I've had 2 different USB hubs. One is an AC powered USB 3.0 hub. The other one is only getting power from USB, it's 2.0. The exact same thing happens to them - the devices reconnect or disconnect every hour or so. This doesn't happen if I connect the mouse or keyboard directly to the USB ports, instead of through the USB hub. Try switching USB ports for each device and see if that solves the issue. If all ports are having the same issue, try using another USB device on the same port if you have an extra one. If it's working fine, it's the USB device plug causing problems. If not, try the same USB devices on another computer, a friend's computer maybe.
