Jan 10, 2016. #1. I've had 2 different USB hubs. One is an AC powered USB 3.0 hub. The other one is only getting power from USB, it's 2.0. The exact same thing happens to them - the devices reconnect or disconnect every hour or so. This doesn't happen if I connect the mouse or keyboard directly to the USB ports, instead of through the USB hub. Try switching USB ports for each device and see if that solves the issue. If all ports are having the same issue, try using another USB device on the same port if you have an extra one. If it's working fine, it's the USB device plug causing problems. If not, try the same USB devices on another computer, a friend's computer maybe. Now recently i've upgraded to windows 10 64bit and install the drivers using the CD keep in note the CD says its windows 10 compatible so everything went well but the catch is everytime i tried to print its unable to do it, so quickly i went to device manager and press 'update driver' after couple of minutes it says "the printer driver is not Here's the steps you can try. -Press Windows key + X. -Go to Device Manager. -Expand the Universal Bus Controller. -Look for USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller and USB 3.0 Root Hub. -Right click and Uninstall. Once uninstalled, restart your computer and try to plug those devices, try other USB cables and other ports.

If you bring up the properties for "USB Root Hub" and go to the "Power Management" tab, there’s a checkbox for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." Uncheck that box and give it a whirl.

This is most likely the cause why the USB devices randomly disconnect and reconnect. If you are using a USB HUB try to plug in the USB devices directly to the computer. 1.
